Patient Concierge

The patient concierge is the first point of contact with patients and guests, ensuring a compassionate and impressive patient experience.

Duties and Responsibilities 

The patient concierge will greet and check-in patients upon arrival, answer a multi-line telephone system, monitor and review general email box, open mail and distribute as appropriate, collaborate with clinical staff about schedules, patients and any changes, resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur, communicate directly with patients to quickly resolve issues and answer questions, assist patients with using their patient portal, provide support to business office and clinical staff as needed, Maintain common areas, Verify vendor and visitor sign in.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, Minimum 2-3 years customer service experience, dental or medical office setting preferred, Proficient in dental terminology, preferred, Professional presence, Professional phone etiquette, Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, Excellent customer service skills, Keen attention to detail with high degree of accuracy, Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines, Self-starter with excellent follow up and follow through, Ability to creatively and quickly solve problems, Advanced computer and office skills, including the use of scanners, printers, cloud-based claim submissions

Clinical Dental Assistant/ Surgical Tech

Serene Oral Surgery is a leading-edge, technology-based oral surgery center in Hattiesburg, MS. The surgical tech/clinical dental assistant is responsible for assisting in the care of patients in the operating room and performing technical duties to ensure outstanding patient outcomes. At Serene Oral Surgery, we invest time, money, and resources to ensure our staff are trained at the highest level. This position requires a candidate who exemplifies leadership skills, compassion, and strong collaboration skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Scrub for assigned procedures, passes instruments, and assists during surgical procedures
  • Prepare room for surgical procedures, assembles supplies, instruments, and equipment
  • Assist in clean-up of rooms between procedures and at the end of the schedule
  • Proactively ensure appropriate materials, guide stents, prostheses, etc. are present for upcoming cases
  • Maintain inventory and ordering clinical supplies and materials
  • Assist in maintaining an effective and efficient schedule and providing cross coverage when needed
  • Serve as the primary communicator with referring offices, patients and staff
  • Ensure fair, non-bias, and transparent decision making according to the written office manual of standard operating procedures
  • Maintaining an updated OSHA log book and ensuring all staff are trained and following safety and sterilization protocols
  • Clean, lubricate, and sterilize instruments
  • Assist management in ensuring HIPPA guidelines are up to date and implemented
  • Reports to supervisor any unusual occurrences, breaks in technique, malfunctioning equipment, any unsafe condition or potential hazard
  • Prioritizes ongoing learning and development, and keeps informed of current policies and procedures and standards of practice
  • Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort
  • Assist in hiring and training new assistants and staff members
  • Assist management in performance evaluations
  • Performs related responsibilities as required or directed

Qualifications

  • Surgical technician course completion or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience as surgical tech or clinical dental assistant
  • Ability to process surgical instrumentation in a decontamination setting and assembly and sterilization of instrument trays
  • Certified in CPR
  • Radiology permit preferred
  • Knowledge of dental implant planning, procedures, and restoration
  • Comfortable with learning technology
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationship with staff
  • Able to perform calmly in emergency situations and high stress scenarios
  • Able to lift 20 pounds

Registered Nurse

Serene Oral Surgery is a leading-edge, technology-based oral surgery center in Hattiesburg, MS. The Registered Nurse ideal for this role will be comfortable working with the newest technology tools and innovation and will take ownership of delivering patient care that results in extraordinary outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Performs and/or assures completed assessments on all patients
  • Assesses and analyzes the health status of assigned patients preop, intraop, and postop
  • Plans patient care in collaboration with the patient and surgery team
  • Directs, implements, and coordinates patient care activities
  • Keeps crash cart inventory accurate and medications up to date according to guidelines
  • Orders medications and keeps accurate logs according to mandated guidelines
  • Assists in ensuring staff and personnel maintain CPR/PALS certifications, CE requirements
  • Schedules OR cases with Forrest General Hospital
  • Participates in performance improvement/performance management process of the clinic

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Holds a current state of Mississippi license as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in clinical, ICU, ER or surgery setting
  • Holds Basic Life Support certification, ACLS is preferred
  • Proficient in starting difficult IV’s is preferred, including children
  • Able to progressively learn Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates unwavering compassion and expresses empathy with patients
  • Comfortable with learning and applying new technologies
  • Ownership for learning and applying new technologies implemented by the clinic
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive working relationship with staff
  • Able to perform swiftly, calmly, and competently in emergency situations and high stress scenarios
